Know Jesus
God loves you and has a purpose for your life. Becoming a Christian is not about being religious or getting everything right. It is about a relationship with Jesus Christ, who gave His life so you could be forgiven, made new and brought home to God.
What the Bible says
God loves you
You are not an accident. God made you, knows you and loves you more than you can imagine.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16Sin separates us from God
Every one of us has gone our own way. Sin breaks our relationship with God, and we cannot fix it by trying harder.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23Jesus paid the price
Jesus, the Son of God, died on the cross in our place and rose again on the third day. Through Him, the way back to God is open.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8Receive Him by faith
Salvation is a free gift. Turn from your sin, believe in Jesus and confess Him as your Lord.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9A prayer you can pray
“Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I am sorry for my sins and I turn from them. Please forgive me and come into my life. I receive You as my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to follow You every day. Thank You for loving me and making me new. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
There is nothing magic about the words. God is looking at your heart.
